“Thank you for giving me a chance to speak at Yonsei, which is ‘slightly’ better and ‘slightly’ ahead of Korea.” Korea University President Lee Ki-Su spoke in front of Yonsei students on November 10. This lecture was the result of an agreement between the two rival universities, Yonsei and Korea. Korea University President Lee spoke on the subject of educating highly qualified individuals for the global market. When asked how Korea University students are better than Yonsei University students, he answered indirectly that Korea University students had a strong sense of camaraderie. “We say that two people coming together make a community. I would like to globalize this trait.” Regarding the weaknesses of Yonsei students, President Lee first answered that he could not see any, but soon joked that they are slow to pay the bill after going out for drinks. Yonsei University President Kim Han-Joong will lecture at Korea University on December 3 on the subject of “Beautiful Dreams”.
