The Yonsei Underwood International College (UIC) entered a student exchange agreement with Dartmouth College, a member of the famous U.S. Ivy League. The two institutions will begin student exchange in Fall 2009. This agreement added Dartmouth College to UIC’s list of exchange institutions, which include the University of Geneva in Switzerland and the University of Hong Kong (China) / Keio University (Japan) / Yonsei University network. The UIC aims to produce global leaders and seeks opportunities for its students to experience various curricula and cultures by entering such agreements with fine institutions across the globe. The conversations between UIC and Dartmouth began in 2006 and an agreement was finally reached, allowing three UIC students to study at Dartmouth for a year. Not only will this help UIC recruit outstanding new students, but also greatly aid the globalization of the Songdo Campus.
