[YONSEI NEWS] 2008 Welcoming Ceremony for New Students

5,533 New Participants of the Yonsei Legacy A ceremony welcoming the freshmen of 2008 was held on March 3, 2008 in the Amphitheater. A total of 5,533 students joined the Yonsei family this year, with 3,902 at the Sinchon Campus and 1,651 at the Wonju Campus. President Kim Han-Joong advised the new students to plan and manage their time well and aggressively pursue academic excellence. He particularly emphasized the students’ role as global leaders, advising them to always keep the world in view. 2,000 university officials, faculty members, and parents of the new students attended the ceremony to wish the students well.
