[Global Network] MOU for Education and Research Cooperation Signed with University of Jordan

On March 7, Yonsei University and the University of Jordan signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in which they agreed on academic exchange of students, faculty and staff, and also on development of joint research projects. Vice President of the University of Jordan Nabil Taleb Shawagfeh said, “I am happy to make an agreement with the prestigious Yonsei University which boasts history and tradition. I am looking forward to active cooperation between the two universities.” The signing of the MOU was accompanied by a meeting session between Yonsei’s Dean of the Graduate School and the delegates of the University of Jordan, discussing plans for cooperation between the two universities at the graduate level. The University of Jordan delegation was also presented with an overview of the Songdo Global Academic Complex and took a tour of the school that included visits to the Medical Center, Institute of Language Research and Education, College of Social Sciences, College of Liberal Arts, and College of Engineering. Finally, the delegates toured the downtown Seoul area, which is only a few minutes’ drive from Yonsei University’s Shinchon Campus. The University of Jordan is a national university founded in 1962 and currently has 38,000 students.
