Yonsei Library Establishes Creative Space for Budding Entrepreneurs

Located in U-Lounge

The Yonsei-Samsung Library is proud of its high-tech facilities. Now, it boasts "a Creativity Space" in the U-Lounge to foster future entrepreneurs. The Creativity Space is the result of cooperation between the library and Yonsei Enterprise Support Foundation, and it will allow students to share future-oriented ideas, engage in teamwork, and test out their ideas.

The Creativity Space occupies 2,340㎡, and it contains group tables, presentation rooms, venture support offices, a café, a special book lounge, and other facilities to promote the sharing of ideas. The Yonsei Enterprise Support Foundation will also provide mentoring services, special lectures by CEOs, and patent consultations.

On May 13, a ceremony was held in the U-Lounge to mark the opening of the Creativity Space. In his remarks, Yonsei President Yong-Hak Kim said: “I am very proud that one of the most beautiful spaces in Yonsei University can be used by future venture leaders to practice their creativity and solve problems regarding the school and the community. I hope that this space will be used not only to promote entrepreneurship but for cultural activities.”

One of the opening event’s participants was Administration Studies student Doohyun Jung, who joined in the round table discussion. Said Jung: “Before, it was hard to find a space for group meetings. I am happy that a space for creativity has been established.” The final stage of construction for the Creativity Space should be finished early next year.
