Wonju Campus Industry Collaboration Institute Signs MOU

with Japan’s Bern Corporation

-Research Will Focus on Geriatric Diseases

The Yonsei Wonju Campus’s Industry Collaboration Institute has signed an MOU with Bern Japan to conduct joint research using heat-killed lactic acid bacteria. Bern is a world leader in the production of immune lactic acid bacteria, which is used to treat immunity disorders, high blood pressure, allergic atophy, diabetes, and cancer. Bioscience Technology Professor Kim Taek-joong explained: “Lactic acid bacteria is the focus of many treatments, from regularity to immunity. The research will be beneficial for seniors and patients who need inflammation control and antioxidants.”
