Yonsei’s Central Library has returned with a new look after a remodeling.

The Main Library was reborn on October 3rd with a pleasant study environment and digital information resources and opened officially on the 4th at 9 A.M. The dedication ceremony held on October 7th was attended by President Kim Han-joong and other school personnel.

Various events were held in celebration of the opening of the Library. Students enjoyed the performances of Jo Hyung-woo, one of the top ten contestants from MBC Audition, Kim Dae-hyun, and Acoustic Playground at the Library’s lobby on October 7th at 6 P.M. From October 4th to the 7th, a film festival was held at the library theater located in the multimedia center of the Yonsei-Samsung Library. On the 12th, lawyer Keum Tae-seop was invited to lecture.

The newly remodeled Central Library and the Yonsei-Samsung Library will together form a new multimedia complex. The new Central Library consists of an environmentally-friendly study space, group study rooms, and a largely expanded information commons for laptop-use.
