2. General Qualifications
1) Applicants should have at least one year of research or teaching experience after obtaining a Ph.D. or
equivalent degree.
*Exceptions are noted in the table above and in item #9 below.
2) Applicant must be legally eligible to work at a private university in Korea.
3) Applicants must agree with the general Christian education principles espoused by Yonsei University.
4) A certain number of credit hours must be dedicated to courses taught in English.

6. Evaluation Criteria and Process
Stage 1) Suitability for the field of study/research
: whether the applicant's field of study/research matches the recruiting position
in the department or program
Stage 2) Academic records and overall achievements
: a comprehensive evaluation of the applicant's academic excellence, teaching or research
abilities, publication records according to the Faculty Achievement Evaluation criteria as
outlined by each program or department
Stage 3) Open lecture/interview
: Based on the evaluation of 1) and 2), outstanding applicants will be invited for an open lecture
and interview to evaluate his or her presentation content and skills, academic potentials,
contributions to the university, as well as qualification as a faculty at Yonsei
7. Notification
1) The applicants who are invited for an open lecture and interview will be personally informed
of the result by September 14, 2012.
2) Final decisions will be posted on the university website by the end of November 2012
(The final candidate will be notified via electronic mail).
8. Things to Check Before Submitting Your Application:

4) Those with less than one year of postdoctoral experience in teaching or research may apply for
