Environmental and safety problems have needed urgent solutions since the development of society and industrialization. To develop creative and effective answers, the Division of Environmental Engineering has established two programs: Environmental Engineering and Environmental Systems. The Environmental Engineering program conducts education and research on atmosphere, soil, water quality, hazardous waste, noise/ vibration, energy, environmental analysis, environmental planning and assessment. The Environmental Systems program offers lectures on safety engineering, industrial sanitation, industrial ventilation, and human factors.
Students with education and skills in environmental areas can consider positions in government environmental agencies, national research institutes, government- invested institutes, private/corporate laboratories, schools and industrial sites. Graduates wishing to continue research in the field can enroll in Master's and Doctorate programs, thereby qualifying for college-level teaching.
