Child Development Research Institute
Child Development Research Institute was founded on December 14, 1974 as one of the affiliated institutions and opened on March 20, 1975. Initially, there were halftime operational training programs for children aged 3, 4, 5 and the institution carried out research activities related to children. Since 1981 counseling services for parents started and in September 1986 full day program for children with working mothers was established. In addition, in September 1988 to expand and develop the outdoor play area for children, Pear children's playhouse was installed and then the ship play house in the complex playground in 1992. In October 1998 the whole day class was moved to a new building and the previous building opened 2 infant classes, 2 year old programs, and an elementary school science program. In November 2001 the existing annex building was demolished to build the Children Guidance Research Lab which was completed in September 2002. It is equipped with 5 training rooms, a children library, multipurpose halls, and state-of-the-art facilities. To date, parent education, teacher workshops, research paper presentations, technical book publications, early childhood education, children and counseling through Family Counseling Center take place.
