The Graduate School of Information (GSI) was established in 2000 to provide a multidisciplinary graduate education for the application of information systems (IS) and information resource management. In order to meet the explosive demand for highly-skilled IS professionals, and to cater to the needs of creative leaders in an information society, the GSI has developed a unique program that will accommodate a variety of information-related skills and knowledge necessary for an information society.
Through a diversified and customized education experience at both the master¡¯s and Ph.D. levels, students can receive a comprehensive education in information systems. The master¡¯s program currently offers graduate courses to selected individuals interested in building their careers in five major tracks: (1) Digital Business, (2) Information System Integration/Management, (3) IT Policy and Industry, (4) Digital Culture Contents and (5) Medical Information Systems. The GSI also offers its Ph.D. program in the five tracks, with the goal of educating experienced IS practitioners, both in theory and in practice, to the highest level of leadership and vision in the information industry. In addition, the GSI operates a non-degree IT educational program for senior executives and currently offers the IT-MS program, a custom-designed Master¡¯s program for middle managers in the telecommunications industry. |
